This older street dog was found utterly collapsed on the side of the road. His life force was merely a whisper. We examined him for wounds and, finding none, deduced he must have had a head injury because although his eyes were open, he seemed unable to comprehend anything. Or perhaps his neck was so sore that he couldn't move his head to react to anything.
In addition to the IV drip nourishing him, we gave him oxygen because his breathing was labored. He could not hold up his head although by Day 2 he was hungry. We are accustomed to more rapid recovery--or decline--but Casper's stable yet poor condition persisted. Then, after two months, when his caregivers were really losing hope, Casper surprised us, and his love is a roar!
Sometimes the life force can only whisper. But love can hear it. Please donate: https://www.animalaidunlimited.org/donate
