Laying on the broken, jagged rocks of a construction site, a dying dog underneath thorny brambles was spotted by a cement worker. He may not have even been from Udaipur but in talking to others on the building site, someone had Animal Aid's emergency rescue number and thank goodness, called us for help.
This beauty would have died without human help in a hurry. She panted continuously and her fixed gaze revealed that she must have a brain injury. We gently carried her to our ambulance. When we arrived at our hospital she was still not fully conscious. We treated her for pain and inflammation and immediately started her on a hydration drip and gave her oxygen.
She had an old fracture of her front paw that we couldn't splint, but luckily, she had no visible wounds and seemed to have no internal bleeding. By the next morning, Misty was beginning to pull through!
