The neighbors knew this injured puppy was in serious peril. They covered him with an old burlap bag, wanting to keep him comfortable. At first, we couldn't see the problem. But when we lifted him we saw the gaping wound in his armpit.
How painful it must have been. He cried in agony and confusion when we lifted him. How we wish we could convey, even before reaching the hospital, that he's just on the brink of feeling relief and comfort. But until he's bandaged tight, he's hurting.
It took us several days to stabilize him enough for him to eat well. And from there, healing was straightforward, bringing out from his wounded little body a heart of gold and a soul as big as the sun. Meet gentle, loving Pintu now!
