This emaciated young bull was covered in blood and flies from a serious neck wound. He lay motionlessly; it seemed he was resigned to dying there on the side of the road.
But by the time this gentle soul arrived in our hospital his hope was somehow restored: he stood! An infection had caused great swelling at his lower jaw. It must have hurt Moby to eat; he could only slowly nibble the green grass we surrounded him with. But every time we cleaned his wound and re-bandaged Moby, he rewarded us with mountains of affection. His velvet-soft eyes were full of acceptance, trust and love.
What a pleasure it has been to heal Moby's wound. Now he is taller, (still quite thin) and full of affection. You'll see that most of our video footage after he's healed are frontal views, because he just won't stop following whoever holds the camera--Moby LOVES to be caressed.
