On the 24th of July Rugby 7s will return to the Olympics for the 3rd consecutive Olympiad. But rugby and the Olympics goes back much further than when it arrived in Rio in 2016. With it first appearing at the Olympics in 1900 before being excluded in 1924 and it even causing an Olympic boycott in 1976 even though it wasn’t part of the Olympics.
