This dear little street puppy had been hit by a car. He wasn't bleeding and he had no fractures, but he was close to death after being hit in the head by a passing vehicle. His eyes were open, but they saw nothing. We have more experience with head injuries than we wish we had.
We treated him with medicine to reduce the swelling in his brain, and gave IV hydration, nourishment, and on the 3rd day, when he was still mostly unconscious, we gave him oxygen.
When on the third day he recognized the smell of food, we were hopeful that Genie might pull through. But even the effort of moving his tongue thoroughly exhausted little Genie. But watch until the end, because in this fragile little one, a powerhouse of spirit thrives.
You know how this works. When they feel good, you feel good. Please donate: https://www.animalaidunlimited.org/donate
