Giannis’s Decision Really Might Just Ruin The Bucks

Giannis might be ruining the Bucks in the NBA.

Giannis set the NBA world on fire with one comment.

He said I might get traded.

Giannis to the Warriors, Giannis to the Heat.

And while everyone is talking about a Giannis trade that he was joking about, there’s truth behind every joke right?

But it’s more than that

"Hey man, if you don 't want to be here, you can leave," Antetokounmpo said. "If you don't want to be here, you can leave. I'm being honest with you.”

The Bucks have started 1-6 this season with both Giannis and Dame on the floor losing to the Nets (10/27/24) but sure teams

From Doc Rivers to Dame training with David Goggins to Giannis frustrated to a Darwin Ham masterclass, it’s absolute chaos.

And I decided to look a little bit more in depth, and as I researched for days*,* I found that the Bucks fell into 3 traps that should as a warning for the rest of the league.

On Sep 14 2023 “I’m a Milwaukee Buck, but most importantly I'm a winner. ... If there is a better situation for me to win the Larry O'Brien I have to take that better situation."

"If you're being honest," Horst said then, "with Giannis,

Giannis has been the one to force certain coaching changes. Take this season for example, Giannis had major input in getting Darwin Ham back on the coaching staff.

And Darwin Ham’s a player’s coach, his schemes are questionable like not starting Reeves or a 3 guard lineup against the Nuggets in the playoffs that lost them the game or not calling a timeout…(*funny edit)*

But Giannis forced two major changes that completely changed the trajectory of the Bucks.

The first came on October 12, 2023, just one month after those take a better situation comments. The Bucks trade Jrue Holiday away in a 3 team deal to land Damian Lillard.

That led to Giannis signing a 3 year extension, the Bucks had done it.

And the second, Giannis pushed out Adrian Griffin and the Bucks scrambled to get Doc. These two changes have put this entire franchise in disarray.

And now the Bucks are imploding because they forgot about chemistry and Giannis has brought chaos. It’s almost as if they have forgotten about what worked in the first place, building a team through a consistent culture and minor changes around a steady core who know how to play with Giannis.

Now it’s not LeGm level where every player feels like they could be traded but it certainly is disrupting the culture and now this season we’re seeing the repercussions on an extreme.

Patience is hard in this league man. We’ve seen several players like Kevin Durant also put pressure on the management to make moves or they will leave, through contracts or now, literally in the middle of a contract *ahem Ben Simmons. And I get it if the management is literally doing nothing or not adding pieces, but in the case of the Bucks, they’ve literally had a roster with multiple all stars, defensive player of the year candidates, and Giannis.

The same way I have praised Giannis for being a leader, for investing in himself and his teammates to make the team is now the same energy I’m bringing for the faults right now and how we are all looking at the Bucks implode. It’s on Giannis right now. I still think the Bucks can turn it around but rather than looking for a way out, you need to look inwards rather than the noise outwards.

I know Giannis has been calling out his own team in public. Not sure if that’s the route, but we aren’t with them so we’ll see what the vibes will be. But man has this been weird to watch.

Everyone on the Bucks has to be better. Or Middleton is really the difference maker.
