Lot of noise been made at the minute about Danny Ric and his ousting from VCARB or whatever they're called now. How he's not had a proper send off simply because the fans like him and all that. But at the same time, the way they dealt with it was a bit bad. Lawson knowing for two weeks etc.
But that's F1. It's not a sport that coddles people. It's that moment from the Simpsons: "After all this time, all I get is goodbye and good luck?"
"I don't recall saying good luck"
But the point here is: Had he stayed with Red Bull or moved elsewhere, would that be Danny Ric in a hole? Because stay at Red Bull and he's Verstappen's Mark Webber. Go elsewhere and there's no competitive car. So either way he's screwed, right?
